A rising tide of silence, heavy, lay it's muted presence all about the room. One moment of distraction, on its' way a tiny paper aircraft launches... zoom! Un-erringly it soars upon the breeze, a Lilliputian Luftwaft it appeared quite out of nowhere piloted by me that said, "Hello is anybody here?" Oh, well, it's nothing ventured, nothing gained, all cleared for landing at Miss Nanners' feet. "Hey Doc, you know such poetry's insane, I oughta throw your butt out in the street!" And, there but for the grace of God go I, who made a super sonnet aircraft fly. |

This silly super sonnet aircraft flew Right past my-ambic feet in metered time It soared upon the winds aloft they blew And broke the barriers of poets' rhyme... Its message spanned across the azure sky "Pentameter" it spewed in ambic feet... And "Anyone can do it it they try" A fly-by sonnet can be quite a treat. Just follow in the path of Doc Moose' flight Get out your quill, he'll show you how it's done He's soaring like a goose at lofty height A super sonnet pilot having fun... But now he needs to write a villanelle We workshop folks will think that's really swell... |
