Silence Halting the heart With briefest nod to grief As knuckled grip seems to loosen Bared cold chill clutches, strangling voice once more Stumbling in tracks of salty tears Traces of words on wind Filling one with Silence |

Silence is deafening. Which is why I respond To acknowledge unexpressed grief, Choked back tears, burning eyes, words caught in throat. Please do not suffer silently. Let your friends hear your pain, And love you in Silence. Great write, Karilea! Shenachie |

Bridget, your response...is awesome! And that particular A word is so overused sometimes that I never use it unless I REALLY mean it.... I am so proud of you for responding that way! |

Silence The soul's repast Attune to introspect Attend to songbird's distant trill Hearken to the whispering of the winds And sounds of rainbows touching down In songs of quietude Mellifluent Silence |
