Machiavellian Meaning January just jostled by, Flipping February fast, mangling March magnificently, almost absolving April, then melted mincingly into mocking an early Mayish day… and Sun, she shone on the found finesse of us, as she wickedly watered the wet of snow, as we watched the hatchlings of larvae lift lightly, even eying early eruption of buds, begging early bloom… ![]() then dusk deigned to rainbow radiantly, only as Kansas can, convincingly, cleverly, cunningly, but somewhere, out there… winter still has a haughty hold, and this, a brief respite ringing ‘round in the hull of squirrels running seriously in search of joy before winter wields warnings and the blue grays, and the rainbows are but a brief bow to tomorrow. |

Yeah, Sunshine, I agree that the Kansas climate can be rather Machiavellian in nature. It never occurred to me before--thanks for the new insight. As usual, your imagery astounds me. Shenachie |

Sunshine, Great read here. Lessee, Machiavelli, famous quote," the end justifies the means". As a Nor'Easterner I'd have to agree. For all the pounding we've taken this winter, I look forward to a glorious spring. Doc |

i see excellent use of devices while still maintaining the feel, but i feel as though it's almost just too much (on the alliteration, especially). just a personal opinion. |

good poem, hears a little somethin' of my own: Know that I am there. I may be gone in person, But in your heart I will forever stay, You may see me no more, But as long as the warm summer wind blows on your face, Or the soft whisper of the trees turns in to a song, Know that I am there.
