Somewhere... out there...

Public De'feet'

While sitting here and reading 'bout Ms. Kit's poetic feet
A brand new thought occurred to me...new thoughts are quite a treat
Now usually a rhyme will be read silently you see
But every now and then someone will share one orally

So I can't help but wonder what the consequence would be
If one stood up and shared a verse aloud and publicly
And say that poet's meter took a dive and headed south
Could one then say that poet's feet were squarely in his mouth?

~vlraynes

Sorry, Kit...I just couldn't resist.

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

ROFL!

I loved this from the title, down,
Right to the final line!
My feet were tapping all the way ...
Your meter was devine!

Excellent Vicki ... and a great punchline!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Ouch, how many times have I done that? Too many, that's for sure. It's not so much the feet, it's those sweaty workout socks

Nice job here. And it gave me a good chuckle too.

Thanks,
Pete

Kit,
Now that was one well put foot( or two ).
Much better than a kick in the butt with a frozen boot ( or three ). But anyway, who's counting (Nan, and lately "Deer") so I guess
you can't get away with nothin' anymore around here!
