Pantoum Of The Opera

~*Marge Tindal*~

Aria of grace in quaking
Scaling elegant notes of song
Before crescendo comes waking
On renewal of the dawn

Scaling elegant notes of song
Masked mystic of melody
On renewal of the dawn
Comes gentle tune of me

Masked mystic of melody
Caped in melodic longing
Comes gentle tune of me
Necessary for my songing

Caped in melodic longing
For all the world to hear
Necessary for my songing
Yet falling on deafened ear

For all the world to hear
My heart in song, now breaking
Yet falling on deafened ear
While all the earth lays aching

My heart in song, now breaking
Before crescendo comes waking
While all the earth lays aching
Aria of grace in quaking

*Mr. Lon Chaney from the 1925
performance of 'Phantom of the Opera'

Wow Magre! You are just as good at the pantoums as you are all the others. You are so talented.

Karilea and SmartChick~
This piece was really fun and came easy for me ... LOL ... I had the 'title-thought' on January 21, 2001 .. and plopped it onto a Word Document ... when this class assignment came up ... I figured I'd use it to work with~

It splashed merrily in my little inkwell~
Like I said .... F U N ~

Marge, this is wonderful!  I especially liked the last two stanzas--

For all the world to hear
My heart in song, now breaking
Yet falling on deafened ear
While all the earth lays aching

My heart in song, now breaking
Before crescendo comes waking
While all the earth lays aching
Aria of grace in quaking

Keep singing!  We hear you!

So - Am I hearing this right? Marge submits a previously completed assignment?  Harumph... Good thing it's such a great piece - Good thing...

...and this is why she finds time to play on the merry-go-round while everyone else is working??... I see how it is...

Bridget~
Thanks bunches ... I'm always in song~

Munda~
Thanks gal ... a real fun piece~

Nanners~
Ya' kinda got it right ...
The 'title' was one of those 'thoughts' that came my way ...
I write them ALL down ... then Poof ! ... it's sort of like the Burger King menu ... you never know for sure what you're getting until it's served ... !  But, the cook is always ready !

'Scuse me ... I'm dizzy from the merry-go-round~
Love ya' gal ... have a great time with your Spring Fling ... I'm thinking of ya'~
