Anyone can make a workshop request at any time, folks...

This month - by request... We've never done these before - We'll try our hands at 'triolet'...

Okay, if you explain, I'm in. Heck, I can't do any worse than I did with last months assignment (honest, the cat DID eat it!!).
A triolet huh? Is that anything like a threesome??? .....you know what I meant....three toilets!!!...come on...what did you think I meant??? Get your minds out of the gutter!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Hmmm...a threesome, huh?  Oh sorry, that's not what it means?  Tracey, you're gonna get me in trouble...again!
Well, we'll see.  Lemme go look it up.  But I'll be on the playground, for sure!  Who wants to swing first?

(at least that's how my mind is leaning) -
the only thing i'll try with threes
is poetry, so pretty please
pray tell divulge the definition -
hey! i'll write 3! (haha i'm wishin')

Dear Teach,
I looked this up in my Antlers dictionary
but, all it said was " A short poem consisting of eight lines using ABAAABAB for the rhyme pattern"  " Of French derivation.
So...

Mon dieu, it's hard to do, this triolet.
A poem with lines that only number eight.
The Bard would find it hard to do a play,
in French, that still made sense, that is to say.
Sequentially, am I in disarray?
Oh, Teacher great, wouldst thou elaborate?
We patiently await, tres ce vous plais,
our fate, this tete a tete, illuminate?

Supplement to Doc's Antlers Dictionary:
http://shoga.wwa.com/~rgs/gl-t.html

"TRIOLET (TRY-uh-lut)
A poem or stanza of eight lines in which the first line is repeated as the fourth and seventh lines, and the second line as the eighth, with a rhyme scheme of ABaAabAB."

Munda,
OOPS! Maybe I should have used the Websters.
"Try-o-lut" rhymes with vi-o-lut,Which kinda goofs up my rhyme scheme, not to mention, I was not aware of the repetition requirement.
(Egg all over my face). I'm blaming this on "Teach".

Oops Doc, you've done it this time. Blaming it on Teach already is BIG a mistake. You probably ought to just go on over and sit in the corner for a while.
