SUNSET TO SILENCE Sunset in forest one can only imagine horizons are lost and all of the day remains in distant tree tops yellowed Autumn's colored skies burning by descending sun nature's power shows reflected off falling leaves of orange of red of bronze Such is a gnarled oak squirrel's home in a hollow fresh acorns abound gathered into storage room food supply through wintersleep Fragile woven webs season of cross spiders catching little flies in fine threads of entrapment glistening with morning dew Silence before storm a moment of inner peace before hell breaks loose and frees old water once more from its cyclical blue rage I await the snow under clear blue autumn sky and red of apples sometimes showing a brown spot frontdoor of a bug's safe house Snuggle under down keep the crisp air at your nose and dream spring meadows sipping wine close to hot stove what more is there to wish for from Titia & Krawdad |

Hi class, Can imagine you will wonder about the 'cross spiders'. We really call them that overhere, because they're spiders with a very big 'body', small legs and they are browncolored with on their back a white cross (same shape as a 'holy cross'). They're seen only in this season, wrapping the whole garden in fragile webs and when there is dew in the morning it is just a beautiful sight. Titia A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |

Just to show you I'm telling the truth, 'cross spiders' do exist. And we have hundreds of them, all making beautiful webs. Titia A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |
