Behold this day a year anew Regale the dawn with welcome tide What e’er tomorrow may ensue Cast yesterday’s lament aside Regale the dawn with welcome tide Pine not for auld lang syne now spent Cast yesterday’s lament aside Apprised from time in precedent Pine not for auld lang syne now spent Life’s guarantee by moments found Apprised from time in precedent There’s surety in life’s redound Life’s guarantee by moments found Rejoice in each new morning ray There’s surety in life’s redound Foresee ahead enlightened day Rejoice in each new morning ray Futurity’s from past defined Foresee ahead enlightened day Embrace the new with open mind Futurity’s from past defined What e’er tomorrow may ensue Embrace the new with open mind Behold this day a year anew… |

Aw.. you leave me speechless Nan ! Nope, couldn't wait until next year with replying.  And you reminded me of Robert Burnes too, my favourite poet... "For auld lang syne, my dear, For auld lang syne, We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet, For auld lang syne." Sigh, what can I say Nan? Perfect theme, perfect meter, beautiful thoughts...argh...a perfect Pantoum!  Happy New Year ! |

Yes, I agree with Dr. Mosse, when it's done right, it's superb. But for me this is one of the most difficult forms, because it has to make sense. That's the hard part This is exquisite, Nan Liz |
