A sizzling summer sun bakes bodies lying on the beach, Teasing tans from within white, winter-weary dermis, Calling upon malingering melatonin to meet deepening demands, As the bodies turn over in timed intervals, Like so many greasy, green tomatoes on a griddle, Coated in coconut oil, they cook, Turning, and often burning, For it is difficult to determine when dermis is done.
