They've bottled our voices so that they can't be heard Everyone wants to stand up, but no one says a word We've been beaten , pushed around slaughtered and killed. My people have faced many great dangers and suffered many great ills. You took me from my native land like I was an animal but I am just like any man. Many names we have been called from negro to dog. But now our rise starts slow, our heads are low as they will go. Your whips and guns may tear our flesh, but our goal will remain the same, and that is to be free, have our own lives and be removed from these chains. If I do not make it through the war you will still hear my glorious battle cry. For I have fought on my feet and now may spread my wings and fly. ~¤Always look to the sunrise and you'll never see the shadows¤~Anee Frank |

This is great Poetic Dreams but it has no poetic form. It is written in more of a Prose fashion. Let me work on it and get back to you. I am going away for a couple of days so I will not have it back to you quickly. Is this acceptable to you? |
