When I was just a little girl sittin on your knee you always looked down on me your eyes full of life and glee. When I was just a young girl sittin on your knee you'd try to be so stern as you looked with love at me. When I was just a crazy teen standing defianlty at your knee you would laugh and look at me and say I could be anything I wanted to be. When I became a young woman sitting by your knee you told me with your eyes how proud you were of me. Now I'm still that silly little girl sitting by your knee but when you look at me Dad who is it that you see. ------------------ I love you daddy. Great poem!! It reminds me of the "Que sera sera" song....or not..LOL  ~What if you slept? What if, in your sleep, you dreamed? And in your dream, you went to heaven and there plucked a strange and beautiful flower? And what if, when you awoke, you had that flower in your hand? Aye, what then?~ |
