O, distant life, demanding more attention, Abandon me, so I may see my dear. And take with thee the ever granted tension And make the irksome troubles disappear. God, cleanse my mind of thoughts it often sees And let it rest, in the embrace of void. Erase the letters, numbers and degrees-- The company by which I am employed. Instead, allow me to imagine that I’m warm And undisturbed by fierce and brute December And let the vacuum of my mind take on her form, With which informed, my mind shall remember. Into the vacant thought, when thought does part, I’ll pour her spirit from the abyss of my heart |
