I want to take a handful of time and smash it into reality I want to portray a picture of the love you share with me I forced myself to say those words- the ones that ended it all Never can they be taken back; I already made them fall Fall from these lips of mine that crave your comfort now Such a sincere feeling brought me to love you somehow Free my sorrowful mind that only thinks of you Wanting to be there with you and help you make it through My arms are dangling much too low, my hands are so empty My lametable self frozen with your face appearing so clearly Looking beyond this loniness- faith pressing me on Faith that one day we will be complete to look upon One too many memories are trapped within my soul Release the constant tears that always are so full Full of absence; full of fear...I pray for you |

kari~ let me be perfectly honest, i would consider this poem the best of everything i've read on the teen forum thus far... it's about a subject that everyone explores: love, but it's approached with astoundingly clever metaphors that make the poem worth reading and re-reading... i applaud you and urge you to continue writing and developing your talents... the world could use a few good writers these days ;o) **jerome the boy with no brain |
