Sweet child, blessed with a gift to give. Bestowed with this treasure, allows one more to live. Luring this girl, many wish for this gift. Yet only one is worthy, until found-this child drifts. Onto a lone heart one day, this girl did stumble upon. Transfixed by wonder, deep dusk quickly turned to dawn Innocently given away, trusting it'll be kept pure. Then seeing it later, about it's purity she's no longer sure. Betrayel knocks, telling her of a broken trust. Gone is this innocent gift, replaced with goodness turned to dust. ------------------ ~The price of finding love is to eventually lose it. When I wish on a falling star, I wish not for material goods but to show kindness to others and be content with what the world may offer me~ ~Maitay Mirabel Litton~ [This message has been edited by Maitay (edited 12-03-1999).] |

Wonderful job, Maitay. This is tragic but true. We see in retrospect what we wish we had seen before. ------------------ Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |
