MY HEART IS YOURS AND YOURS IS MINE

Once upon a time,
You and I were friends.
My heart was yours and yours was mine,
Together till the end.

Forever friends me and you,
That was our promise to each other,
And when things got to hard and blue,
We looked to one another.

Then one day it came to an end,
Our friendship lost at sea.
Time together we did not spend,
Oh God how could this be?

You quickly went out,
And made a new friend.
For to you without a doubt,
This was surely not the end.

Unlike you I stayed behind,
I didn't make a new fiend.
Cuz in my mind,
This of course WAS the end.

And so it went,
For what seemed 10 years,
My heart I lent,
In turn for tears.

Yet now we're friends,
Friends again.
Together till the end,
Just like it all began.

But now I'm fearful,
The past just might repeat.
My heart says to be careful,
This thought I must defeat.

I need you in my life though,
So for the second time,
Though the future I do not know,
My heart is yours and yours is mine.

That was a greta poem, you conveyed your thoughts so well, and everything made sense, well done!
