Forever Friends

Forever friends
People have told me that friends
Are the most important part of life
But I didn’t believe it until today
And now I know

I realized when I looked in his eyes
And saw the sadness lying in them
Knowing that I caused it
Knowing that he wouldn’t care

If I walked out of his life forever
In that moment. I hurt him that much
How could I fix it, cuz that’s what I do
I say something wrong, then I make it right

But nothing could make that look go away
I watched him walk in the other direction
Watched as his back faded from view
And knew in my heart of hearts
That it was the end of our friendship

Now let me tell you a secret I learned
So that you don’t have to learn it too
Everything can’t always be fixed
Some things must be left alone
Even if you are left with the pain

This is a really good poem and I like the subject. No one really knows how important friends are untill they have lost them or are in a fight with them.
