What We've Become So this is what we've become Snappish and hurtful and weak The silence speaks the things that We can't get past our lips But the pain in my heart Still exists The fires of my regrets singe me How prophetic, how poetic You used to touch me and say you Loved the way I looked Playing me by the book How high you took me, and How low you've brought me now Yesterday I tried to love you But today I don't know how There is comfort in solitude I can shake off the terror of dreams Feel the cold of lonliness That isn't as cold as it seems It's a blessing in disguise The blessing I can't find Alone, still loving you. ------------------ The night is my companion The solitude my guide Would I spend forever here And not be satisfied? Oh, this is beautiful, and heartbreaking.....I am always deeply touched by poems about love gone awry......great work here. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |

This was an excellent expression of your feelings. I think that most everyone has been in this situation. I know I have. It is hard to pull through but you eventually see the whole picture. ------------------ Never frown because you never know who is falling in love with your smile. |
