Like torrents of rain falling from the skies, The tears issued forth from my eyes, And any day was as black and cold as night, No matter how warm, no matter how bright. My best friend had left me, All for popularity, And I was left alone suffering inside, Silently contemplating my demise. Then my ''best friend'' comes back to me again, Telling me about how she wanted it all to end, Acting like things between us had never changed, Telling me of her life, her misery, and pain. I listened and listened as I tried to support her, Using up all the strength that I could muster. I was the one who would always be there, To hear all her problems, with time left to spare. Then hearing the words that she had stated, Something inside me was reawakened. Hearing how pathetic she did sound, I decided to turn my life around. My life was better than most out there, I had other friends, and a family who cared. Then love made its way into my world, I now realize I am one fortunate girl. ------------------ Heather C. |

So you left your friend? I guess she wasn't a good friend if you left her first. |

My friend left me you see, she went to hang out with the more popular crowd. Then she calls whenever she needs something. I had problems a while ago, and she wasn't there for me, yet I stuck by her and supported her whenever she needed it. She complains about how her life is so terrible, and I wonder why, she seems to have everything going for her. I have found something to believe in, and I realize I don't need to be with the popular crowd to be happy, I just wish she could discover that too. ------------------ Heather C. |
