Somewhere, between here and there

Runaway

Runaway, she never stays,
She calls me crying, oh he’s just lying,
I know she’s trying, but I’m here, dying.

The police come to my door, everyday, asking for my dear runaway,
But I casually turn them away, “She’s not here, but I’ll call you if she’s near”
If I get caught, they’ll throw me away to rot, I take my chances, for my little runaway.

You come to me, bruised and more than a little bit confused,
I let you in, sure I can mend skin, but unfortunately not, whats within,
Someday, I make him pay, two ends make no right, but I’m wanting a fight!

A little bit confused,
I know what you lose,
No clear path to chose,

So runaway, runaway!

This is dedicated to my friend Steph, her stepdad beats her, and seriously, i'm begging to meet him (pops neck, cracks nuckles), i know violence is a poor route to take, but this guy is a prick.
Ok, so by now, you noticed that i seem to always get stuck with the friends that have alot of problems, but hey, i still love em!
