Standing at the waters edge Staring into the darkness Moonlight highlighting his features A sadness falls across his cheek Wonders why he's left alone Unknowing my presence Watch as he falls to his knees Waves wash the sand around him Sitting in silence and solitude My heart fills with sadness Another soul drowned by the harshness of life and love A light wind blows He looks up into the moonlight Sadness streaking his face Sadness now falling down my cheek Standing now beside this sad soul Looks at me as if a prayer was answered Stands and stared into my eyes Wipes away the sadness streaking my face A touch so warn and full of life A touch to my lips that warms the heart and soul A heart so cold now so tender A soul lost now found it's way A prayer thought to be useless, now exists No more sadness, no more pain ----------------------------------- if you have any suggestions on a title for this poem i'd love to hear them. Or if you have any comments i'd also love to hear them |

This was really very beautiful. I like it a lot. Welcome to Passions. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |

So touching. For a title, how about, A Caress to the Water's Edge? [This message has been edited by Laura Mitchell (edited 11-07-1999).] |

I have to say I like this a lot! It tells a story that you can really see. I like Laura's title. Maybe you should edit it in. Welcome! I hope to see more of your stuff. |
