Why do you drink your life away stop and stay with me be the Grandfather to my children not just a grave stone or the man in the picture I need you in my life dear Father please come back bring back my Father the onewho's not always drunk who phones me crying about his life Without alchohal I would still have a Father who lives in the same house as me and I would have had the Father I wanted the Father I should of had as a child a father to protect me from everyone who would hurt me a father to show me that not all men can hurt me a father to be there for me Your not that father boose is my father and is slowly taking him away from me Day by day he dies a little how can you sit there and leave me the way you are Don't leave me alone in the world I need you to hold my hand hug me when I need comfort I need parents not just a parent Don't leave me father I love you too much |

A heartfelt plee for a father to be there, and be a father, a loving parent. Nice poem. Unfortuantely sad reality for many children. |

wow, i understand you too well! i too have a father much like the one in your poem, only he still lives with me, which sometimes scares me. i really enjoyed that poem, and im sorry you have to go through that too. i hope things get better for you. just stay strong and keep your head up, as long as you stay strong, you'll be okay! great poem ![]() ![]() |
