Teen Prayer
I have a teenage prayer.
However mine is rare.

Mine is not for when I sleep
but for when I am awake and when  I creep.

Keep me safe from thugs
and their drugs.

Keep me away from alcohol.
That’s not good at all.

Please god protect my heart from pain.
From that there is nothing to gain.

Let the love through.
That will allow me to experience something new.

Please keep me pure.
I am afraid, for my misery, there is no other cure.

I raise my head to wake.
I promise this prayer is not fake.

I pray my life you help prefect  
and my heart you protect.
