Each year the fire burns brightly to signify a burning tradition Each year the fire burns more brightly than before, Must be something in the air But the morning after It was Ashes to Ashes A heart of a Joker, A heart of an Angel brought together under the oddest of circumstances Jokes and laughter and love was all we knew But the morning after It was Ashes to Ashes Three weeks of harmony two days of hell was all we had And one night, we entered the fire together It was Ashes to Ashes A final farewell and tears to follow as we said our goodbyes No one understood how much we loved and cared for each other But the fire Burned The Fire burned within us still I could see it in his eyes But we lacked the courage or the strength to realise this Ashes to Ashes, year to year, the fire still rages uncontrollably within our hearts It was Ashes to Ashes. " To be free, or to be enslaved, that is the question." |
