I just started writting poetry bout a month ago so I would love any suggestions I could get. Thank You! We Were Once We were once best friends forever connected. We were once lovers we knew eachothers hopes, dreams, and passions. We were once connected at the hand. we were once joked at for being connected at the lips. We used to be, do you remember? We were once and "us" the couple of a lifetime. Now we are strangers with anger in our words. Can we ever be what we once were? -Stacye Walters- Please tell me what you think. Stacye~ I liked your poem, and the way it shows how you feel. I personally think the best poetry is what comes from your heart, and free verse is the easiest for most people. I think that was great. I just recently started writing poetry too and just being part of passions has helped me imporve. This poem really reminds me of one of my own experiences and something that I dearly miss now more than anything. Keep writing and keep smiling. Salma |
