cut the deck and deal it blind transparent's hard to have to find ice is warm when we are cold invisible's hard to have to hold smiles hard enough to bequeath whenthere's nothing underneath hard to have faith in things above when there's nothing left to love sleep, baby, sleep the days seem longer when you weep cry, baby, cry the river rages, bleeding dry it's hard enough to be a saint when everyone has lost the faith hard enough to face the fears when the illusions disappear hush, now, bow your head there are worse things yet to dread. |

I really like this poem, but I don't understand the 2nd and 4th lines.....could you explain? ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |

lines 2 and 4 describe the searching that goes on in life- most of the time we dont know what we are really looking for- and when we find it, we don't realize it. thanks for reading!!! |
