Where are my friends when I need them the most? Why don't they care that I'm having troubles here? I try to talk to them, but none of them seem to want to listen. I listen to everything they have to say, even if it's just gossip. But now, when I need someone more than ever, I have no one. No one wants to listen to what I have to say, no matter how important. Can no one see how much I'm hurting right now? Does anybody care, or do I have no one? ~Kristi Lynn (Sorry, I'm just having a lot of personal troubles lately, and I don't know where else to go...) angel: i honestly think this poem is a misnomer... of course you have someone here for you! you have all of us... or if not ALL of us, then at least the ones who care... and even if no one else cares, i do (even though i know that they do )... and who listens better than those who read meaning into every word you say? *grins*... so dont go saying you have no one when you have us we'll stand by you... i promise... sincerely, jerome the mysterious priest p.s. -- if you need to talk, i have two ears (or two eyes in this case) willing and ready... my email is poetry_kills@hotmail.com A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! ~Coleridge |

I just wanted to let you know that even if your "friends" shun you at times, all of us are always here to lift you when you need it. So keep your chin up babe! I think your poem was good, and it probably helped you release some pent up frustration. I would know.....it helps me a lot. |

Thank you for all your replies. Jer and jerome: Thank you for everything you said. Just knowing you will be there means more to me than you could believe. I'll try to e-mail you both, but my school doesn't have acess to e-mail, so it might be a few days, or at least until I can get to the public library. Thank you so much! ~Kristi Lynn "Why does no one sees how hard I cry?" -Me [This message has been edited by angel6917 (edited 02-10-2000).] |

I would like to join the others offering an ear and support any way I can. I know how your feeling and if you want to e-mail me, I will share some insight with you. I know peers are important, but you cannot let them define who you are or control what you believe. Be yourself, and seek out friends who really know what the word friend means. Best wishes, Danny |

Thanks, Danny, it means a lot to me that you say that, too. I know friends don't define who I am or anything, but they mean a lot to me. I just don't understand why they can't stand by my side sometimes. I always lend an ear to them, even when I'm at work and could get into trouble for it. I understand what you're saying, though, and thank you for your support. ~Kristi Lynn "Why does no one sees how hard I cry?" -Me [This message has been edited by angel6917 (edited 02-10-2000).] |

I believe the teen forum should be renamed to depressed forum (j/k). lately, i have seen many depressing poems, all of which are wonderful to read. this is one that really stands out. i saw keep your chin up and look on the bright side oh life (*starts humming*). keep up the great work. -Ender *I am not one to be feared. Well..... Okay, I wasn't expecting replies so long after I posted this poem, but I'm glad I did get more. Nate~ I hate to admit it, but you're right. I think I understand somewhat what goes on in your head, but don't worry, I'll keep that top secret. Ender~ I'm glad my poem stood out, and thanks for the great tune... Salooma~ Thanks much for being there, along with everyone else. It means a lot more than anyone can imagine. Gadget~ Well, it seems we are in the same boat, but somehow everything should work out all right in the end. I hope so, at least. I finally found someone who will listen, my wonderful Nate (not the one here in Passions!). We've been together for only a few days, but with everything that goes on, he sticks by my side, especially now that one of our close friends is mad at us. ~Kristi Lynn |

Very nice poem Kristi, I'm glad that I came in here at break to see if there was anything new. If you ever need to talk to anyone, I'll be more than glad to listen. I'm going to go now, Greg is talking about wearing full chain mail. Nut. Have a nice day Kristi. "Sa souvraya niende missian ye." I am lost in my own mind. |

Well, he was talking about his brother making full chain mail and wearing it around school. Which is REALLY nuts cause full chain wieghs around 60 pounds. Then he got into saying he wanted to get some full plate and burrow his brother's chain and come to school wearing it and say he is being peppy (school maskot is a knight). As far as saying I'll be there, I'm just being who I always am, I'm glad that you appreciate it, but I will be if you need/want to talk or something. "Sa souvraya niende missian ye." I am lost in my own mind. |

I will be here to comfort you in your time of need you can ask chic I am good at being compassionate to people when they hurt inside but just be strong and call on me when you need a shoulder to cry on or a hug just to make you feel better or just to talk. I will be here for friends and family. The Phamtom Poet Michael Jay Vaughn |

This poem is awesome! It relates too me so much it feels like it was a poem I was suppose to write. I'm feeling exactly how you are feeling right now too. Don't say you have no one because there are many people here that would love to talk to you. E-mail me anytime if you just want to talk or something. K? djkidspinz@cs.com |

Hey, thank you all for your replies. It means a lot that you all care and all that good stuff. It's just that when I need someone to talk to, there's nobody there for me, and when my "friends" need someone, I'm always here for them. It's hard to know that no one will listen to you when you need them to, ya know? Thank you all for being there for me... ~Kristi Lynn |
