I’ll die with honor anytime, providing,
That once I die, I’ll be acclaimed a poet.
God, take my life as soon as I stop writing,
I do not want to waste a single moment.

And once I die, I have but one request,
Let me retain my senseless sensations.

This was a lot of fun to read, and humorous in a sort of ironic way. This is about as coherent as I get tonight.

Jerome, thank you for the nice comment, but to tell you the truth, I'm not yet brilliant, I'm not even a poet (as I define it).

i dug it yo, did you get the idea for it from an older poet, maybe one of the romantics? it's a new twist on an old motif. i commend you on putting that in words for the rest of us and i'll have to say that i thoroughly agree with it
