Decisions The dark closes on me slow and still It bids me come closer I have something to give I am weary of this thing for it's my hearts blood it may spill Still it wants me to come because it's the oly way to live If I accept i'm afraid of what i might find A dagger, A cup, A heart with memories deep inside My eye sees something so gentle and kind For light or dark, now i must decide Confusion and heart ache rip through my mind This decision is one I shouldn't have to make hands of time reversed, I pray I find Oh Please soon from this nightmare let me wake ---Written by:Hoppy 9-9-99 NEW POETRY FORUM NOW OPEN "If there is anything the nonconformist hates worse than a conformist it's another nonconformist who doesn't conform to the prevailing standards of nonconformity." I'm surprised no one's responded to this, because this is a very good poem. Very cleanly written, with almost Hamlet-like imagery with the dagger and cup (trust me, that's a good thing). My one question: why do you title this Night Closes In, but it's really titled Decisions? You tricked me!  Mike |

thanks for the responses! i've been really busy lately and havn't gotten around to posting in a few days. stinkin' school gets in the way of good quatliy stuff like this! perfect reason to do away with it j/k.
