TO THE MANNER BORN I see the world - a sea of faces, I face the world, a faceless fan I man my ship, to the manner born. I borne my soul, the bourne of man. Too many ties to dissension, When two are one but one is lost. I wonder have I won the prize, When surprise can't comprise her cost. I lay in wait, delay my judgement. Belay the rights of righteous men. To write the will in blood they spill, Ever willing to fill my pen. I bear their sin to my barren back Barely able to stand the pain. Withstanding shame I understand Famed Thunder pays the price of Rain. Holding their penance thereafter, For they're guilt Time never erases; Dissevered Hope's endeavored lie... I see the world - a sea of faces. A man for truth, a man forlorn, I man my ship, to the manner born. ------------------ Michael Anderson Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream? I really liked how you kept using the "same" words, and such, back and forth....makes it hard to follow, but certainly gets the message out....very deep and moving. Once again, you go over my head in what you write & feel...It's only because I'm shorter than you , ya know.....that's the only reason....well, and because you're 5 years older than me! LOL Meaning, you're much wiser !!! Sorry, here I am joking in a reply to something as serious as this poem....PROBABLY because I need to read it again! Maybe I'll understand it better - I do know it's good! I'll shut up now............ ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

Very nice peice. Very thought provoking. There are so many things I'd like to say and ask but right now my mind is wrapped around this piece. |

Michael, this was really deep and thoughtful. I appreciate the time it took to compose this! Beautiful, beautiful work.
