When She Cries

When she cries I can feel the pain,
I'd sell my soul to comfort her.
I hold her close, try to sustain
A strength to which she can infer.

I offer my understanding,
A listening ear as she cries.
I hold her close, not demanding
Anything of her weary eyes.

My woman cries and all the while,
I feel like somehow I have failed.
All I wish is to make her smile,
Can only offer what love's entailed.

With compassion, realizing
As I wipe a tear from her eye,
Inside it feels like I am dying.
When my woman cries, so do I.

When God puts a tear in your eye,
He puts a rainbow in your heart.

Rocking well again, my deeply Dark friend.

Very nice indeed, my friend. Lets show these women there are still "real men" out there!! LOL If you seek, you will find.

I knew your response to your woman's tears would be heartfelt and loving Michael. (SIGH) I didn't expect it to be any other way. Well done

My only hope for yours, is the same for mine; that the only tear we'll need to cry, will be those of joy!
Well done Michael...of course.

Wonderful poem... when someone we love hurts, the hurt is ours... and no matter how illogical, we feel we've failed them if we can't somehow make it better!

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see you post a poem again Michael??... Don't I recall your challenging Ron to step up with some new rhyme?  How's about it?  Let's see something new??

It's always nice to bring up the oldies but goodies too...
