When She Cries When she cries I can feel the pain, I'd sell my soul to comfort her. I hold her close, try to sustain A strength to which she can infer. I offer my understanding, A listening ear as she cries. I hold her close, not demanding Anything of her weary eyes. My woman cries and all the while, I feel like somehow I have failed. All I wish is to make her smile, Can only offer what love's entailed. With compassion, realizing As I wipe a tear from her eye, Inside it feels like I am dying.
