Glassy eyes stare back at me
From the bathroom mirror
It's 8am and the night was restless.
My body is still exhausted
From the night my mind did not rest.
Glassy eyes stare back at me
The warmth still trapped
Behind the heart and mind
Of an unnoticed soul.
So I close my eyes to the day
To walk through the dark hours
In the light of my mind.
