Ode to Myself From excavations deep beneath the sod layered by time and nature lie uncovered implements…. shards of earthenware and shattered bones of a life buried in the backyard of a civilization extinct from itself a model now to this generation of an earlier man's struggle not with external forces but those from within to lesson the learned, tutor the taught, give memory beyond thinking so as not repeat the passing of this torch to an unsteady hand.
