The darkness of the midnight sky
As I look up at all the stars
As far as I can see
The quietness of the night sky
Peace invades my soul
Welcoming the feeling
The quieting hush of the breeze blowing
through the trees
Listening to the waves gentle lapping
at the shore
Knowing this will be never more
Because with the sun
Comes the choas
That has just begun
Waiting for the darkness once again

I love the sea, can stand lost in thought for ages, seaspray on my face, watching the waves undulating..I wish..

I really loved it. I love the ocean...just came back from four months at sea...in the sea...drowning. And it is so true that with the sun comes chaos... You are a really great poet...I would love to read more

Welcome to the family! This is the first poem I've read of yours and I must say, I like it a lot. The sea has always fascinated me..I love to just sit and watch it!
