Memories flow as ocean's tide, As I recall the day love died, Looking through a mist of tears, Reflecting on too few the years. I feel the pain of loneliness, And fear the lance of neverness, To nevermore touch on the skies, As I gaze into your eyes. To never touch your silken hair, Nor tender kiss, our love to share, Two lives as one, was meant to be, Now one is gone, pain's misery. No spoken work shall heal the pain, For what is gone, shall not regain, For I have lost what was to be, All that remains, love's memory. |

Mike, not sure why no one posted to this, but I thought it so hauntingly beautiful and sad I had to bump it back to the top ------------------ It is better to be silent and be considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. |

Mike...you have captured so beautifully, the harsh pain of a love that died......I have wondered if love dies, why does it still hurt so .......really liked this read...... ------------------ May your days be filled with lots of sunshine and your nights lit up by golden moonbeams |

Very well done, Mike. I particularly love the line 'And fear the lance of neverness'. ------------------ Denise |
