Should Haves If I could see with morning eyes The glow upon your skin If I could bring back all those things You made me feel within If I could whisper one more time Softly in your ear Or tell you all I should have said While I had you near If I could have seen right then That you would go away I would have given anything Just to make you stay I would have said those three words No matter what the cost But now my chance has ended And those moments all are lost I should have learned my lesson And loved you from the start Now you are gone and I’m left With “should haves” and my broken heart (Just something that came to me at work last night, not reflective of my present mood) ------------------ Man can not discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. |

Ruth, sounds like something I could've written. I should have told him when he was here, but I didn't. Tara...I'm glad you had the courage to say it if not in person, thank you Peter...you remain one of my biggest fans, thanks. I find I need to write when the words come, no matter where that might be Dark Angel, Seymore and Pepper...thank you very much Sunshine...I couldn't agree more, thanks |
