He came to me at a time where
My life seemed incomplete.
Like the mist through the dawn,
At first I could not see.
Slowly he opened my eyes
And brought out who I am.
For that alone, I must admit
I truly thank this man.

He taught me how to laugh and love
At a time I felt it's loss.
That bounderies that I had held
Well, they really must be crossed.
He taught me not to dwell on
All those tiny, little things.
While all the while, we shared a smile
As I began to spread my wings.

I became the person I once was...
Independent, happy and strong.
Expressing all I had to give,
Sharing all my passion's song.
In return I helped him find
His own passionate flair.
I gave him a way to express his heart
Through rythmic, poetic care.

We thought we found a rarity
That many never find.
A meeting of souls, an undying love
Through our hearts and our minds.
But sadly time was not our friend
For it was not meant to be.
As it happened, you see in the end
The choice was left for me.

It broke my heart, it tore my soul,
How could I say..."Good Bye"?
To this man I loved so much...
My heart still wonders why.
Sometimes your choice is made for you
With others in life's scheme.
Yet I'll always treasure our time together
And remember it was much more than a dream.

Holding so fast by thine infinity;

Thank you....
Yes, I was a little on the sad side when I wrote this but, it was a healing project and I'm happy to say that it's working. See...

Sally....I think I've met this man, smiles, but I have no intention of ever saying goodbye.

Beautiful, Sally. Don't ever lose the feeling. That is one of the beautiful facts of life. One never knows what the future holds. It's great to see you writing again!

Sally S. - I must confess,
I thought you were a sheep.
And so I read, with mixed dread,
Your words of poetry.

It is I find, that this time,
My err's my benefit.
Your sweet lament, a present
From what your pen has writ.

A sweet, nice poem, Sally S. Please forgive me if I chuckle whenever I see your name. That evil Toerag has corrupted me forever.

Beautifully done, Sally,
and so sad. This is one I can truly take to heart.

johnt300, Thank you....

Hoot....I hope you never let go.

Balladeer, I never stopped writing. I only took a "vacation".

LngJohn...Well, I'm much more than a sheep. I'm a "Mustang". But, thank you for your reply and you go on ahead and giggle. You never know...one of these days, I may have to give a bit back to ol' Toe. Hmmmmm....the possibilities are endless.

Michael,
How's this? {{{{HUGS}}}}
Did you get it? I hope so. Take care. (and hey.... smile!!!!! )

Thank you, Dreamer...For giving this poem one last breath of life. (I thought it was a goner LOL)
And thank you Denise and Watcher for the compliments.
