Oh please why won’t you let me go,
I do not understand.
What penance do I owe to you
take back your wretched hand.

Don’t touch me, don’t you look at me
I will not go right now.
I will live this life of mine.
It’s mine! Your not allowed.

I know you.. you have many names.
Seen you in others eyes.
For weeks, for months, for years sometimes
before that person dies.

I’ll not give up easily
I’ll fight you to the end.
I owe that much to Beth and Chris
my husband and my friends.

You feed on depressive silences
knowing the weak will not call out.
Others do not see the signs,
but I will scream, you mustn’t doubt.

I’ll admit that I am tempted
to lay down and let you win.
But I know enough of God
to realize that’s a sin.

Would I trade a moment’s peace
for eternal pain in hell?
YOU go to hell! It will not happen
my soul is not for sale.

I will let the tears flow down
the pain will eat at me.
But in the end, I’ll feel no hurt
in God’s garden, eternally.

Lucie you inspire us all and humble me with your strength of purpose and compassion. I am glad you have chosen to fight and for reasons I have disclosed to you, I understand. I am here for you as always my friend.

Lucie, my heart goes out to you for whatever you are going through.

How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

A poem from the soul ! Very touching. I wish you strength to carry the burden and wisdom to keep you sane, and a lot of love to ease your pain.

Perfection...in your writing, and your strength. Inspirational piece, here, Lucie. Thank you. I have reason to remember this and with your permission, I'd like to print a copy for my files.

You're a strong woman, Lucie... and these times you're going through may take every bit of strength you possess... that's when you lean on friends, borrow their strength... and keep fighting. Good luck, lady!!
