I’m gonna tell you all a story
I’m not sure you realize.
But you see Toerag's a potato
and a Suthern potato caught his eye.

Well soon the two got married
Toe’s a hard working potato man.
And Suthern soon got pregnant..
and they had a little yam.

Well as their little yam grew up
they threatened she’d get lashed.
If ever they caught her on the town
half baked and getting mashed.

They told her that the local boys
would toss her around like she was hot.
And then she’d end up all alone
with a bunch of tater tots.

She said not to worry.. no one'd
make a rotten potato out of her.
For she had bigger plans in life
she’d be no couch potato either.

Yam went off to Idaho P.U. (potato university)
Toe and Suthern were so proud.
But soon they grew concerned for her
she’d done nothing that she vowed.

It seems there was a problem
Some fancy man had Frito Lay’d her.
His name was Walter Cronkite
he was just a COMMON TATER.

This is hilarious! "frito lay'd her" where do you come up with this stuff? I enjoyed the poem immensely.

I know where you came up with it....and I still love it immensely! That Toe! What a dud spud! And what about that Suthern? Got arrested three times last month cause she kept going around screaming "Idaho! Idaho!" Shucks, we all know that!!!
