Whirlpool

At what point
did my marriage
Turn into the
whirlpool
That threatens to
pull me under?

Can’t you see
that I’m in over my head?
I’ve been sucked in
And I can’t get out.

I’m drowning.
Going under for the third time
Won’t someone save me?

They say if you stop struggling
It’s the best way to die.
Just give in to the complacency
That they call life.
that’s all I have to do
to find the answer I’m searching for.
Give in
Give up.
So I do
And I welcome death.
Only she can bring me Peace.

This was written during some dark times. It amazes me how far I've come in the past year.

It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Beyond the darken stars lays daylight.

Well done Tara

Me too!
This is filled with such palpable despair that I wanted to find the nearest bridge!

Thanks, Christopher! That's the kind of despair and hopelessness that I wanted to get across.

If I hadn't experienced this agony myself firsthand, I would still understand the pain just by reading this! Very well done, Tara.
