I awake to sounds of crying, then I realize that it’s me.
Hot tears rolling down my face, from the depths of misery.
The tears that come from deep within, the secrets of my soul.
Little pieces of my past that brought together make me whole.

Sometimes I feel so all alone, no one to share the pain.
Running memories through my mind it’s driving me insane.
Each day that I must face alone without his hand in mine.
Is just another minute that ticks by in endless time.

I hear the echoes of my crying through this empty room.
The sounds of life surrounding me falling quiet much to soon.
The silence here is deafening inside my little world.
I draw my knees up to my chest and let the pain unfurl.

I feel my grasp on the here and now slipping from my grip.
Just letting go my will to fight through my depression trip.
Where are the friends I used to have, the ones from long before.
I just can’t seem to get a grip.. I'm sure that there were more.

The little things are making me feel terrified and small.
The fear of what’s outside my door, I can’t go out at all.
A part of me is holding on.. a very little part.
I guess its just the me I am.. the one inside my heart.

Dear Lucie, your verse speaks volumes and you speak so little now.

Oh, I have known this pain. Well worded, it makes my heart ache for you. Thank you for sharing.

Lucie, my friend, those of us who have been there can empathize with this poem. Very well written. When times like this strike, it is usually God taking us to our lowest point where we can finally surrender completely to him. He never gives us more than we can handle!

Excellent poem Lucie! But I know you have an inner strength that is going to keep you going. We all need some 'down' time though. Wallow if you must, but come back fighting! The days pass quickly, he'll be back with you one of these days!

Lucie - this is really deep and emotional - I hope it exagerates what you really feel.

LngJhn...I'm afraid she's not exagerating at all - -
Lucie, you and I do need to make some real time to get together and talk, do you have ICQ? If not, let me know, and maybe I could call you on the phone so we can talk...I know you're really hurting, and I don't want you to feel alone. I know I've been really wrapped up in Michael of late - (and with good reason, of course!) but it's selfish of me to be so happy when such a dear friend of mine is hurting like you, feeling alone. I can take time out for you and will. I'll be glad to give you my phone # if you'd rather call me....LET'S JUST GET TOGETHER, ok? We need some laughs anyway, right? It's been a long time, I'm not even sure if you're home during the day anymore like you used to be! I love you girl....talk to you soon.

A very strong poem. I understand what you are going through for I too have been going through it lately. Hold on to faith in God, he truly will guide you , I know that in my heart. Someday there will be peace in your life as long as you hold on too your faith and keep fighting. Never give up. If you ever need someone too talk to e-mail me and I will listen.
