The fair and gentle Elaine
Died of a broken heart
And the vines that climb
The tall brick wall
Are intertwined like my love
(For all the rest of time.)
The children of the hills
And the child of the moon
Fly on the wings of the raven
With an understanding
Past their years.
But the child of the moon
Cries silently when I leave.
Her tears skim past the ocean
And the Cypress trees
Searching for the one
Tied with a ribbon.
For it alone stands against the sky
As equal to the pain:
A mirror to my eternity

Lovely poem. Is that a reference to Lancelot's Elaine? What a tragedy that was.
Very nice work, Soleil.

Soleil, hauntingly sad and beautiful. Very masterfully done.

Beautiful, masterful work. I am awed.

Thank-you. My daughter was conceived on a full-moon. And this was written for her.
