I see love blooming to the
right and left of me.
and I dream sometimes
of love,
yes I do,
but closed tight am I
waiting for that feeling, just right.

I do believe I am tainted,
I prune the attentions of a friend
to the minimum,
can't give off the wrong
impression, that I might
actually be loveable,
you see.

But yet, I question the eyes of
strangers looking for
the possibility of Love At First Sight.
My only chance it seems
is for love
to pounce on me.

Fear of the hurt that lives in me
blocks my heart,
true love is not for me
I am afraid.

yes, I am tainted
I do believe.

Nice job there lovey.....now then....What's this about something "pouncing' on you? Or, would you perhaps like to be a tad bit more tainted?....And if you're not "loveable"...I can't imagine who is?

Look more deeply into the eyes of your friends! Sometimes, that is where true love is lurking, it will take you by surprise.

Tara, thanks, its just that so many of my friends are miles away, and looking into their eyes is just what I would love to do, I miss the closeness of immediate friends

Ahhhh-HA! I turn my back for one lil minute and there is that other O&O hoping Toe will pounce on her... Geesh!!! Keep that up and I'll give her the chance to look in these eyes just before I bludgeon her with my baseball bat! LOL

I like this line,

"I prune the attentions of a friend
to the minimum,"

and even "maximum" would work.

This gives one much food for thought.

I love this...i can relate...i've found new love recently...and i still Question it...i know i should just soak in its rays...but i dont see sometimes how come someone cold "love" me...
