Done and undone Our life is like some spiders bed
Each day we thread another thread
And the ebb and flow takes its toll
With a laugh and tear from our soul.

The sun and the stars and the moon
From these things we are not immune,
We draw from them our stimulus
And pour from them our omnibus.

The web dissolves thread by thread
And the ebb carries away the dead
There is no stasis we can obtain
Nor a continuances of ordain.

In this process we live and die
And fuse again with earth and sky.
We meet the need of cede too seed,
With only wonder of the deed.

I understand my time and place
And do not fear the short embrace.
There is but one regret for me,
I will not see our legatee.

And so it goes... but you said it all so well. I'll admit to having looked up "legatee." Thought it might be what it was, but just wasn't sure until I read it on the Web... Webster's Dictionary that is. Again, nice work... and thanks for sharing

Scot,
Legatee, not exactly a poetic word but it worked.
Thanks for the read and comment.
