Twisted conscience has denied me true love.
Old nightmares have returned clothed in new flesh.
Life would be just had Noah killed the dove.
Desire and need will not ever mesh.

Away from my heart will I cast all doubt.
Love is the construct of a weakened mind.
Philosophy it seems has turned about.
To many things morality is blind.

Love is a lie born of lust and desire.
Hope is damnation for desperate fools.
Dreams cannot fulfill all that I require.
No longer will my words be woman's tools.

I'd hate to think the last line is how you truly feel...deep inside that part of you that you share w/no one. That part that is after-all a mix of light and dark. Words can be used as weapons,this is true,but words
from someone speaking from their soul should comfort you. You're poetry is great,there is no doubt,and no, I don't mean to spout my words to you. But, I bless thee Dream Evil,Most Gallant of poets with the gifts of dark and light,love and hate......and....
oh know.....Happiness and Peace...I bet you have some awesome love poetry buried in that
large heart of yours!!! As for this piece..
it is, as always a consummate work of art!

As a friend most dear once said to me. Throw everything you have at me. The hurting words, the cruel remarks, all the pent up pain in your soul. In the end, when the dust settles, I will still be there at your side.

*sniffles* how extremely sad. I'm sure that there is one woman out there that will never break your heart. I just hope that you find her.

What a fabulous poem Dream, sad yet still wonderful. You truly have the talent I have longed for all my life.
