Just one moment in time, without strife, without stress.
But that is not the way God meant it.. I guess.
My life never even, the ride always rough.
I wonder sometimes, am I strong enough.

Chaos, it rules the turn of my day.
There is no calm moment in my daily fray.
Oh what I would give for just a second of peace.
To not have an issue would be such release.

A friend of mine asks.. "What’s your drama today?"
He always knows I’ll have something to say.
Its really quite funny and I truly laugh,
how obstacles seem to find their way to my path.

Its said that the Lord will never give more.
Then we can handle. But what’s he testing me for?
It scares me to think that he’s making me strong
for some future dilemma, please tell me I’m wrong!

For I am not sure how much more I can take
the weight is to heavy, my backs gonna break!
I beg him for guidance in the tests that he’s given me
and quietly plead.. "God please spread the weight evenly."

Great poem, and I must admit, I feel like that all the time...but, the Lord does not give us more than we can bear. But no He does not give us 'drama' to go through to make us stronger. If we were not put through situations, we would take things for granted in life. We would never have the witnessing of miracles therefore many would not believe that the Lord is real. But He will not give us more than we can bear because He does not want us to be overloaded with problems that we lose sight of Him at all. He is not testing you...He loves you, and is always there for you, if you give in to your 'drama' then you are letting Satan take the upper hand, you must always give God the glory, and not let the things thrown at you get in the way of your path. ok ok ok now I should go take my own advice...easier said than done LoL....Great poem though!

Lucie, great poem! If some of us haven't yet "been there..." we will be, soon enough.

And Echo, so glad to see that you are doing better.

Lucie... Hang in there, gal... I'm so sorry that your path is so rocky these days... but I do appreciate the poetry that's coming from your pain... and hope days are brighter soon!

Sounds like you're going through some ruff times Lady Lucie, although your writting isn't suffering. Maybe God is just looking to give you material or is that just me looking for a silver lining? Hang in there kido. You got lots of support within these halls.

Terrific, Lucie. Don't worry. I know a survivor when I see one. We're too dumb to give up!

Luc...Just think how boaring your life would be without all your ups and downs. HaHA And you'd really have to get your thinking cap on, now would'nt ya. Not only that, but you would not have met your great forum family......everything happens for a reason, and one day you will be able to help others who are going through the same things you are. Nothing speaks better than experience. You do have a way with words, girlfriend! Excellent

PS: Nice title, but don't worry, the camel can handle it!

Lucie

Hang in there, kiddo. This shall pass. Just think positive thoughts. For example, it could be worse - you could look like Toe! And believe me, child, a Toerag with breasts is a violation of Nature! lol
