Sad Awakening

My dream-
To languish in your arms
And feel the sunlight pouring in
As I revel in the afterglow
Of our loving.

To gaze into your liquid eyes
And feel our souls embrace.
Safe and secure in your hold.

Such a heady feeling,
Lying here with you.
Oblivious to my surroundings.

Sighing softly
I reach for you
Only to discover
I was only dreaming.

How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Well done, Tara,
Soft and sweet.

Very well done my friend.
But dreams have a way of repeating themselves.

denise, "beautiful and sad" that's how it feels on my end too.

Michael, thank you.

Hoot, once bitten, twice shy. Isn't that how the saying goes?

S_F, is that a good thing or a bad thing? the dream is good, it's just the waking up that is difficult.

Tara.....

The fulfillment of your dream will come to be, of that I am more certain than almost anything.

Your poem was wistful, loving, and full of the afterglow and promise of something magical that has happened in your life, and that still WILL happen in your life!

All of us here are privileged to be alongside you as this happens!

Julie and Moonmoon, my dear friends! You have no idea what you are in for over the next few months. I am smitten.
