Because you speak, I listen; because you speak, I care; not for want another soul, not utter a word - I dare. For when you speak, I am ready; for when you speak, I receive; to let intrusion interfere, is not to listen, but deceive. For you chose me over all the rest to share what you had to say; I am honoured to be a part of you, as grass is to the lea. For you and I are unity, the silence does undress; but because you speak - I listen, and judge not what you express. ------------------ ~*~ I write to know I am alive ~*~ |

Interesting poem...... I don't know if this is what you meant to acheive by the last two lines, but I get the idea of someone so inlove that they blinly accept whatever the person they love says, instead of judging them from a neutral point of view. But anyway, great work ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |

This piece is easy reading with a great message. I could tell it truly came from experience. Thank you. ------------------ O all ye powers that he implanted, Arise, keep silence no more; put forth the strength that he hath granted, your noblest work is to adore. |

I like this one a lot too. Saw a bit of the dark side of love. Not sure if it came from the poem or my reflection. Still enjoyed it! |
