I see my future in your eyes
My thoughts are written on your face
Close I feel my temperature rise
Together there's no happier place
You are my very living reason
I awoke at your first site
To leave you would be my hearts treason
To love you is all I know tonight
I long to hear your still heart beating
I long to feel your tender breath
Your voice inside my head's repeating
"I'll love you until my death"
Our love outlasts the star lit skies
I know, I've seen it in your eyes

Oh Kevin, welcome to our hallowed halls,
Take up your poet's pen, and come inside;
You'll find much fellowship within these walls,
A home where wayward poets might abide.

We thank you for your offering of verse
So freely given, elegant and fair;
So, call it poet's gift or poet's curse,
'Tis nonetheless a boon without compare!

We've much to give; advice, and teachings too --
And so much more in just camraderie --
And so, my friend, we'd like to welcome you,
Inviting you to join our family!

So, thank you for the verse that you have wrought --
'Tis poetry! (though sonnet, it is not!)

LOL ... just a little joke, don't know what came over me! Welcome to the fold, Kevin!
