cheated by my own emotions,
certain your the only one,
drowning in your endless oceans,
waves of remorse flood my sun.
perfect every moment shared,
but moments you don’t want with me,
when I told you that I cared,
you told me we could never be.
I know that you do love another,
my feelings still I can't deny,
compare myself to the favored other,
wonder why he caught your eye.
choking on my self brought sorrow,
I gasp for air you suffocate me,
my only hope lies in tomorrow,
to shine some light you did not see.

i can completely understand your position here. i am in a similiar one myself. i just ended a four year relationship and the one that i want, well he still needs his ex, so in other words i feel your pain, hope everything rights itself in the end for you...much love
