You talk about your hurting, You talk about your pain, But always rehashing it, Why - there is nothing to gain. I was hurt too and much longer than you, Feeling alone in all my days, You were never there to help, Never my strength along the way. I had that medical problem, You know how scared I was, But you simply walked away, You weren't then for me when I needed you most. Nothing I did or will do, Can weigh more than that, The way you treated us, We felt like door mats. And now you go on and on, Things are still worrying you, But please know my heart is in disarray, And there is nothing I can do. I'm scared about the future too, What will our lives together bring? But we are supposed to be a team, Supposed to make each other's heart sing. I have doubts and fears, Some days I too feel misunderstood, But please think of me sometimes, It won't hurt, it'll only do good. My depth of pain is all consuming, As yours is to you, Instead of just maliciously picking at me, Work with understanding as good men do. Every little negative, Every word said in anger or pain, Rips right through my soul you know, Hurts me so much my life might not recover again. I hurt too, and baby it's all the time, So please remember this, Next time you wish to hurt or maim, And instead end the thoughts with a kiss. A kiss of peace and loving, Of good times from the past, Cos I can't keep up with the explosions, They are coming much to fast. ------------------ Cast your eyes on the ocean, Every man goes down to his death bearing in his hands only that which he has given away... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

correct me if i'm wrong, but i get the feeling that you are needing something special from your man that your not getting. you sound as though your'e not mad, only wanting a different expression of his love. good poem, so let me know. |

Thanks Devina  You are nearly right, we have been through some rough times recently and he keeps bringing it up to hurt me. We should not rehash it, just get on with things. You know? everyone can relate to you when it comes to problems in a relationship. in my own experiences i've found that men cannot deal with the fact that things are wrong, and the only way to cope inside is to hurt the one closest to them. my ex fiance did this to me for four long years. what they don't understand is that when everything is said and done, you will be the one standing at his side. you'll be in my prayers, so perk up- things can only get better! |

Thanks Denise and Devina. Things are ok today. It all happened yesterday actually, today I am just dealing with it all. And you know the old saying, 'Better Out than in!
